Mug Warmer Not Heating? A Troubleshooting Guide

A mug warmer that won't heat is usually one of a small number of common problems. Most are fixable in under a minute. A few mean it's time to replace. This is the diagnostic.

The 30-second checklist

Before going deeper, run through these:

  1. Is it plugged in? Obvious, but surprisingly common. The plug might have come loose, especially with the 6-foot cords on most warmers.
  2. Is the outlet working? Plug something else in (phone charger, lamp). If the other device also doesn't work, the outlet is dead, not the warmer.
