What we do

Coffee Mug Warmer is an independent editorial site for people who drink coffee at a desk. We research, compare, and explain coffee gear — with a focus on the small tools that make a daily ritual more enjoyable.

We started this site because most coffee coverage is written for enthusiasts with $3,000 espresso machines. We wanted something for the rest of us: people who just want their coffee to stay warm while they work.

How we work

Research-first, not hype-first

Every product we cover is chosen based on real questions from real readers. We do not accept payment for reviews, free products only when disclosed, and our editorial conclusions are never influenced by affiliate commissions.

AI-assisted, human-edited

Our articles are drafted with AI assistance, then reviewed for factual accuracy against manufacturer specifications and aggregated verified-purchaser data. A human editor is responsible for the final wording and publication. We disclose this process because transparency matters.

What we do not do

• We do not claim to have hands-on tested every product we cover. When we have not used a product ourselves, we say so clearly.
• We do not invent ratings, star scores, or purchase counts.
• We do not publish negative factual claims about a brand or product unless we can verify them.

Before starting Coffee Mug Warmer, Alex wrote about consumer electronics for a decade. Alex is based in Portland, Oregon, and has no formal credentials in coffee — just a lot of opinions formed through daily use.
